My first love will always be scrapbooking. Scrapbooking is how I got into all of this paper crafting madness about 14 years ago. Since then, I've done just about everything that can be done with paper but scrapbooking will always be my first love!
Today I want to share with you a 12x12 layout using the Into the Woods designer series paper. This paper is absolutely gorgeous! My favorite color combo is the Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive....just breathtakingly beautiful! Anyway, here's the layout!

Thanksgiving Week!
Happy Thanksgiving Week! My daughter and I are enjoying the week off from school as we get ready for Thanksgiving. Yes, we are getting ready for Thanksgiving….not Christmas. That will happen around Saturday. Thanksgiving is a special holiday for my family and we are often annoyed by the skip from Halloween straight to Christmas! We just think you should take the time to be thankful for what you have and there’s no better time than Thanksgiving!
One of the things that I am most grateful for is the wonderful people I’ve met along the way during my Stampin’ Up! journey. Last Friday, one of my customers hosted our monthly class at her home (again). We had a great time creating this project.
I promised the ladies in attendance that I would share some more ideas for projects to create using the Acorny Thank You stamp set and Into The Woods designer series paper that we used to create our class project. So, here is the first project. This card design was inspired by a project featured on one of the display walls at Stampin’ up Convention this past summer. It was a pillow box that I just changed to a card.
To create this card, I started with a 5 ½ by 8 ½ piece of Soft Suede cardstock folded in half. I cut a piece of the lighter wood grain print from the Into the Woods designer series paper to 5 ⅜ by 4 ⅛. I used a sponge with Tip Top Taupe to darken the wood grain and mounted the paper to the card front. I folded a doily in half and attached it to the card front about a third of the way down the front of the card. Next I stamped 5 acorn caps (2 diamond pattern and 3 crosshatch) using Tip Top Taupe. I stamped the acord bodies (alternating between solid and striped) using Mint Macron, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, and Tangelo Twist. After putting the caps on the acorns I arranged them along the top line of the doily and added a piece of gold glitter ribbon behind. I stamped the greeting in Tip Taupe Top, bannered the edges and attached using a dimensional with a twist of gold metallic thread behind. I just love the way it turned out. Give it a try!

Paper Pumpkin February 2015: Layers of Gratitude/Sale-A-Bration
I am so excited to finally share with you what I've created with the February 2015 My Paper Pumpkin Kit. I love, love, love this kit! As soon as I opened and saw the accordion fold card...I knew I had to make it into a mini album. I used a bunch of my daughters selfies to create this little album.
In addition to the stamps from the My Paper Pumpkin kit, I used the Best Day Ever stamp set, the Best Year Ever designer series paper, and the Best Year Ever accessory pack....all freebies from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. When you purchase $50 of product you get to pick any item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. How cool is that?
I also added a stamp from a previous Paper Pumpkin Kit. If you haven't tried Paper Pumpkin yet, now is the time to go for it. Get a 3-month prepaid subscription and get a free item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. Here's a look at what's in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog:

Paper Pumpkin Fun!
Hi! Today I want to share with you some of the fun cards I've been creating with the August Paper Pumpkin Kit. If you haven't heard, Paper Pumpkin is a monthy kit from Stampin' Up! that includes everything you need to create pinterest worthy projects! July's kit, Wish Big, included the Wish Big Photopolymer Stamp Set, a Blackberry Bliss Classic Stampin Spt, 6 white card bases, 1 sheet of border stickers, 2 sheets of blue stickers (hearts, stars, and WISH letters), 1 sheet of silver foil stars, 12 die-cut round tags, 6 printed boxes, 6 yards of white 5/8" Satin Ribbon, 7 yards of White Baker's Twine, and 6 white envelopes....WOW! That's a lot of supplies for $20! One of the things that I love about Paper Pumpkin, besides the included idea sheet, is the versatility. You can simply create the projects in the idea sheet or you can create whatever your heart desires. I love to just sit with the supplies and see what I can come up with....and if I can't come up with my own ideas, pinterest is full of alternate ideas. For today's share, I used card sketches found on various blogs to spark my creativity with this kit. Here's what I came up with:
This month's kit is definitely my fave so far! I can't wait to see what's in the August kit! It's a surprise every month! If you've ever thought about trying Paper Pumpkin now is the time. This month's special is to sign up for Paper Pumpkin for half off for 2 months. Yes, friends, that's $10 a month (shipping included!!!!) for an exclusive kit like the one described above! Try it out! If you don't like it, just cancel your subscription...no big deal!

Last but not least, I’ve been drooling over the Holiday Catalog which I can’t share with you until August 28th. BUT, as a demonstrator, I am able to preorder. I know you ladies are already thinking about Holiday cards and this catalog has everything you need to send out handmade greeting cards and goodies to your friends and family. First I have a Holiday Paper Share that will include 6x6 sheets of every design for every collection of designer series paper available in the Holiday Catalog. This paper share includes paper to use for each of the fall holidays: Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas! You’ll get 2 sheets of every design for 6 different designer series paper packs for a total of 70 6x6 sheets. The Holiday Paper Share is $15. Next, I am offering a Holiday Embellishments Share. This share includes 2 yards of each ribbon/twine featured in the Holiday Catalog as well as a sampling of buttons, sequins, and epoxy stickers. This share is also $15. I’ll need at least 4 people to commit to the share before ordering, so let me know ASAP! I’d like to preorder these items and have them into your hands the day the catalog goes live! You’ll be one of the first to have these products! Just send me an email and let me know that you’re in and I’ll send you a paypal invoice. Project Life by Stampin' Up! #PLxSU
Those of you that know me personally know that my first crafting love is and always will be scrapbooking! It's a creative outlet for me and I just can't bear to let pictures sit in a box or stay on my phone/computer....I just don't see the point in that. But, many people are afraid of the word "scrapbook" because for them it's a daunting task (this is true for me, as well, at times)! One of the reasons I decided to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is because Stampin' Up! has a whole line of Project Life (created by Becky Higgins) supplies. Think of the slide in albums that you may have or have seen paired with beautiful paper and embellishments and you have a "scrapbook" that's done in no time. Many people have talked with me over the years about how they want to do something with their photos...they want scrapbooks, but they don't have the time or don't feel like they are creative enough to
"do" traditional scrapping. If you are one of those people, then Project Life might just be the answer your looking for. If you would be interested in learning more about Project Life or participating in a Basics of Project Life class with me, please let me know! I'd love to gather some friends to craft with! Thanks for stopping by!
